Sensy Supernova is a 60% keyboard that utilizes a new Sonoshell mounting system that combines a dampened top mount with a PEI middle frame layer sandwiched between the top and bottom case. This mounting structure allows for a unique PEI bottom acoustic while still retaining the aluminum case. Choose between a patina brass weight or stainless PVD that is specifically designed and matched to each color.

Sensy Supernova60

Supernova joins Smoke65 in SENSY's Legacy series, built on the SonoShell architecture first introduced on Smoke. The name draws from the Latin Nova, meaning "new," and nods back to an early stellar themed board from designers Qin and Lengjing, the project that started it all. Supernova is their fully upgraded take on that original concept, with an exterior inspired by the collapse and gravitational waves of a supernova itself.

The Supernova60 supports 60%, WK, WKL, and HHKB layouts.

PCB options include Wired MX in Solder or Hotswap (VIAL Compatible), as well as Topre EC.

SonoShell Architecture

The Supernova60 is built on SonoShell, an independent acoustic chamber formed by the PEI middle frame, top case, and plate, tuned specifically for sound and typing feel. The middle frame is the true heart of this architecture, with the 4mm plate working in tandem to provide structural support.

The middle frame remains fully intact in this design, avoiding the cutouts required on previous applications to accommodate exterior styling. The result is a complete, uninterrupted acoustic chamber.

Design Inspiration

The exterior design centers around gravitational waves. A supernova collapse generates powerful gravitational ripples; we translated collapse and wave mechanics into the chassis form factor, blending sharp straight planes with dramatic, abrupt curved surfaces to visualize the shift from rigid order to dynamic distortion.
