I couldn’t find alpacas in stock anywhere so I turned to these. As my first linear, I absolutely love them. I lubed and filmed these and they are smooth and the sound profile is pretty deep in the few cases I’ve had them in. Honestly I don’t think I’ll ever need more!
These are the best switches I have used by far. Lubed with Krytox 205g0 and foam switch films. They're even super smooth not lubed and filmed and no stem wobble. The most solid, sturdy, and best looking switches.
The packaging of the switches needs to be changed a little bit. Out of the 70 switches I ordered, at least 20 of them had bent pins. Fortunately I was able to bend them back. One of them was twisted almost 180 degrees and folded (surprised I saved that one). I get that it happens, but it just adds time onto the long process of preparing the switches (lube, film, etc). Not a huge deal, but stuffed into a bag and then a small box to get thrown around by the postal service is not going to go well. Switches themselves are smooth, great value for what you get.
These are great switches with a medium pitched sound signature. They sound pretty good on a tofu65, and are INCREDIBLY smooth once lubed.
I will likely do a full build using these in the future.
