A couple of the switches I had felt and sounded way different than the others. Some switches have a far softer sound when you bottom out, and feel almost sticky at the bottom. The switches that don't have this issue are great though, that's why it's so apparent when there's a dud in the batch. Bought 4 packs and 9 switches had this issue.
The perfect stock clacky switches
I'm big into cherry Mx blacks love them they were my favorite switch of all time beating out my oil kings and TTC Hey's due to its clacky and full as **** sound. But I've been looking for a long pole alternative to Mx blacks something that would be both clacky and full and wasn't scratchy like the Mx blacks (before you ask yeah mine were broken in too). But finally I found it in the SWK x Owl labs collab with the Neon Switches. These switches are clacky and full sounding with a hard hitting sound that's very sharp to my ears but in a good way like hearing an M1 Garand reload. And these switches are glass like smooth out-of-the-box like holy ****, I wasn't expecting it to be this smooth. Also the factory lube application was damn near perfect and I wouldn't suggest anyone try open these because 1. they feel worse when you lube them yourself and 2. the factory lube is already so good so why bother. I would 100% encourage anyone wanting a nice hard hitting clacky sound that's glass like smooth to get these they're amazing and my new favorite switch.
Stock Clacky Perfection!
Bereaved by the loss of the trusted and loved Tungsten switches from OwLabs, I searched far and wide for a clacky long pole linear. I tried SOTCs, InvoKeys Matcha Lattes, Zakus, Ashkeebs Auralites, COWs, and many, many more. When I heard about these Neons from OwLabs, I was initially cautious. Could they really be better than the Tungstens? The colorway was not my favorite, but I have come to love it as I discovered that near negligible spring and leaf ping stock when listening from more than 6-12 inches away. There is negligible stem and housing wobble that does not require films. There is a very subtle chalky scratch in the sound that is not felt that I have come to love and this has become my go to high-pitched long pole linear and have been in my last 3 builds: QK60 on Aluminum, Aero.75 on FR4, and Space65 R3 on FR4. Absolutely perfection!
The smoothest switch I have ever tried
I was so impressed by this switch that I had to buy a second batch right away this is me coming from SOTC Switches, KNC Red Jackets, Owlab Tungstens, Boba U4T's These are just the best feeling ones so far, very very happy with the purchase
