RAE Aurum Keyboard is RAE's 60% keyboard after their popular Adamas board and continues to lean towards their jewelry background with a gold bar inspired keyboard. Built for foamless by incorporating a grooved brass internal weight that does a lot of the heavy lifting for a bright and clean sound signature.

AURUM 60% Keyboard

Aurum by RAE is a refined 60 percent keyboard inspired by the quiet confidence of a gold bar. Defined by calm precision and restrained geometry, it reflects a pursuit of balance, warmth, and timeless simplicity.

PCB and Layout Options

The keyboard uses a custom Mechlovin’ Studios Zed65 PCB, paired with an S1 daughterboard with a JST to SUR connection. Fully configurable through QMK and VIA, the PCB supports both WK and HHKB layout options, depending on the version selected.

Form, Defined

The case is machined from 6063 anodized aluminum and paired with both internal and external brass weights, along with a matching brass badge for added mass and visual balance. Available in Obsidian Black, Heritage Green, Cerulean Blue, and Vermillion Red, the external weight is shaped to match the case’s side profile.

Mounting Structure

The Aurum utilises the Gasket Integrated Top-Mount, combining traditional top mount with gasket tabs under the plate (as seen used on the Adamas).

Plate Options

Aurum includes a CNC-milled, anodized aluminum full plate as standard, offered in fixed configurations. For those looking to further tailor the typing experience, optional full plates in carbon fibre and polypropylene will be available as add-ons. Plate files will also be released at a later date for builders who prefer to cut their own custom plates.
